WHAT...Strong winds from the south/southeast at 15 to 20 mph with

gusts to 25-30 mph, dry surface vegetation, and low relative 

humidity between 25 and 30 percent will lead to elevated fire 

danger today.



WHERE...Northern into parts of north-central Iowa.



WHEN...11am until 7pm.



IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly.



PREPAREDNESS AND PRECAUTIONARY ACTIONS...Burning is discouraged under

these conditions. Also, take care to prevent the start of accidental

fires when smoking or operating vehicles around dry vegetation.
