...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM CDT

FOR SOUTHEASTERN JEFFERSON AND CENTRAL DOUGLAS COUNTIES...



At 830 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Basehor, moving

east at 55 mph.



HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable 

         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, 

         roofs, and outbuildings.



Locations impacted include...

Lawrence, Eudora, McLouth, Lone Star, and Williamstown.



This includes Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 197 and 205.

 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for northeastern

and east central Kansas.
