The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

  Northwestern Franklin County in northeastern Texas...

  Southwestern Red River County in northeastern Texas...



* Until 930 PM CDT.



* At 815 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 19 miles northwest

  of Bogata, or 24 miles northwest of Hagansport, moving southeast at

  20 mph.



  HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail

           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect

           considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to

           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.



* Locations impacted include...

  Clarksville, Bogata, Bagwell and Detroit.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure

and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing

widespread damaging winds and dangerous hail.



Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter

immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built

structure.



A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT Friday for a

portion of northeast Texas.
