Well-above normal temperatures in the lower 80s with low humidity dropping to 20-30 percent this afternoon. Southerly winds ramp up during the mid-morning, gusting up to 35 to 45 mph across eastern Nebraska into western Iowa through the afternoon. The strongest winds will be found over northeast Nebraska. Strong winds and dry fuels combined with the low relative humidity will lead to extreme fire danger over northeast Nebraska. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for these areas. Looking ahead, we'll see warming temperatures with highs into the 90s. Afternoon relative humidity remains low over the next few days, but rain chances return starting Thursday evening and continue on-and-off into early next week.
