Light southerly winds will gradually increase in strength on Tuesday with gusts 20-30mph by the afternoon along with RH values potentially near 30 percent for some locations. Tuesday-Thursday will be the warmest days this week with increasing moisture, minimum RH values continue rising through the 40-50% range Tuesday and 45-60% Wednesday. A low chance (10-20%) for scattered showers and thunderstorms exists across northern MO and west-central IL Tuesday evening into Tuesday night near a stalled cold front. Southerly flow continues until Thursday night when widespread shower and thunderstorm chances increase as a cold front approaches from the west.
