South Carolina has issued a Burn Ban for the entire state until further notice. A cold front will be pushing east of the mountains early this morning. This front will then move through the forecast area between between sunrise and noon. Moisture will be limited with the front. Most areas will remain dry, but can not rule out a brief light shower along and behind the front this morning. The light rain will bring only a few hundredths of an inch of qpf at best, so little to no impact to the current drought conditions. Winds will turn more out of the northwest right behind the front, with both wind speeds and wind gusts increasing by mid-morning, lasting through late afternoon today. Cooler and drier air moves in behind the front to start off the work week. Expecting MinRH values around 25 percent this afternoon, then even lower for much of the upcoming week. Fortunately, this should be accompanied by winds of less than 10 mph. The next possible chance for rainfall is not expected to occur until next weekend.
