Widespread precipitation continues to move across the region this afternoon, with unseasonably cold air making the primary precipitation type snow. Precipitation will gradually taper off this evening as drier air starts to filter in, but a few chances for showers will be possible overnight into tomorrow morning. Precipitation amounts will generally range between a tenth and three quarters of an inch of liquid. Snowfall accumulations of a few inches will be possible across the high terrain, while little to no accumulation is expected in valley locations. While conditions will trend drier tomorrow afternoon and Tuesday with relative humidities likely dropping below 30-40% on Tuesday, the wet and cold surface conditions during the period should limit fire weather concerns through the middle of next week.
