This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling 

Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.



.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.



Elevated fire weather is likely this afternoon on the Caprock due to 

dry and breezy southwest winds. A Rangeland Fire Danger statement is 

in effect from 1 PM until 8 PM CDT.



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.



A Fire Weather Watch remains in effect for much of the forecast area 

on Thursday afternoon and evening for very dry and breezy southwest 

winds.



Strong winds may develop on Sunday along with blowing dust and 

critical fire weather.
