Predawn temperatures were in the 50s with southeast winds of 5 to 15 mph. A cold front will push southward across Kansas today with showers and storms developing this morning over Nebraska and north central Kansas. The storms will expand in coverage over the eastern half of Kansas into Oklahoma, as the cold front pushes further south this afternoon. Some of the storms could produce severe weather over the eastern halves of Kansas and Oklahoma. Daytime highs will range from the cooler 40s in northern Nebraska behind the cold front, to the warmer 70s and low 80s over Kansas and central Oklahoma. Thunderstorms will march southeast across eastern sections of Kansas and Oklahoma into Missouri and Arkansas tonight. Some of these storms will be capable of producing severe weather and heavy rainfall, especially over eastern Oklahoma. Overnight lows will range from the colder 30s in the Nebraska panhandle, to the mild low 60s in eastern Oklahoma. $$
